Narrow the inbox before reading messages
Start with known companies, application systems, senders, subjects, and message headers. That keeps receipts, newsletters, and ordinary work email out of the recruiting queue.
Message text should only be read when the first pass finds a likely recruiting update.
Keep the evidence with each suggestion
A suggested update should show the sender, subject, date, matching role, short evidence excerpt, and confidence. You can confirm the update, choose another role, or ignore it.
Leave uncertain messages unresolved
One company may have several open roles, and a recruiter may omit the title. Keep that message in an unmatched queue until you choose the right application. A wrong status is worse than a pending review.
Connect email only if you want to
Email access is optional. ApplyPace uses read-only access for recruiting review and cannot send, delete, archive, or label messages. You can disconnect it and delete imported records.
Questions
Will every email change my tracker?
No. Likely recruiting messages become suggestions. You review uncertain or important updates before the application changes.
Can ApplyPace send email from my account?
No. The recruiting connection is read-only. Messages and outreach remain yours to send.
What happens when one email could match two roles?
It stays in review and shows the possible matches. You choose the correct application.
